Why may OEMs soon want to use Seat Belt Reminder sensors in Rear Seats?

 After the seat belt reminders were mandated in front seats in Passenger cars, and several strides taken by the Government of India concerning Passenger and Pedestrian safety, it is expected, that rear seats may also come equipped with seat belt reminder sensors.

With the on-going race towards 5-star safety rated cars, OEMs are seen to follow suit with respect to Global NCAP however, India is also coming up with its own vehicle safety rating system The Bharat NCAP on the lines of GNCAP which is planned to be implemented in 2023.
